Since I last wrote a blog In April (Oops), a lot of exciting things have happened! I will start with the end of my DCP program. I ended my Disney College Program May 18th. I had the last few days off of my program to go and enjoy the parks ( thanks to my great managers!). I went back to every park and enjoyed every second of it. I never thought I would visit Walt Disney World again. The last time I visited I was five and I had bigger events/places on my bucket list. But to a great surprise, I got into the DCP and spend 5 months exploring and wondering around Walt Disney World. Reflecting back on my time there I can say it was one of the best times I've had in my life. Some of the great things that I got out of DCP are:
After I finished the DCP, I worked at the St. Regis filling in for the Training and Developing Manager, while she was on maternity leave. I learned how to conduct an orientation for new associates, lead a new intern, and other daily tasks. After 4 fast weeks, I was off to my study abroad! My study abroad trip was EC Saint Petersburg, Russia trip. My 3 classes would take place in Saint Petersburg Polytechnical University. I took Russian Business Culture, Russian Culture, and International Economics. The most fascinating part of these classes was learning and analyzing how different our countries were to Russia. I had people in my class from all over the world. Some of the highlights of my trip were exploring St. Petersburg, taking a trip to Moscow, and a cruise to Finland, Estonia, and Sweden. During my time in St. Petersburg, I made some Russian friends and they showed us around. In Moscow, the most memorable thing is that I lost/my phone got stolen. And on the cruise ports, I wasn't the blondest person there. Here are some of my highlight photos (note that I don't have that many since I didn't backup my iPhone). After I finished my study abroad program July 27th, my mom and I took a trip around Europe. We met in Munich, Germany. In Munich, we walked around in the cold and rain, ate traditional food and beer, and took day trips. Our day trips where to Rottenburg and Neuschwanstein. After Munich, we traveled by train to Venice, Italy. In Venice, we ate dinner in the "local" areas, ate the best food (gelato, pasta, seafood, and wine), and took a tour. My favorite part was the gondola ride because our gondolier was very handsome :). After Venice, we took a train to Geneva, Switzerland. In Geneva, we stayed in a hotel that has the most expensive suite in the world! (and we stayed in it... jk) We explored and historical district, ate some crappy fondue, took a boat around the lake, and climbed to the top of a church to view the city. From Geneva, we took a plane to Monte Carlo/Nice. We took the first day to explore on our own and have a relaxing day. Then, we took tours to the neighboring cities. I think we saw 10 cities in 2 days! After Monte Carlo, we took a train to Amboise, France. This was a charming small town in France. We visited a few Chateau's, ate great french food, and got swarmed by large bugs. Jeanet met us and we went to Paris. I think I had a pretty great summer! Even though I didn't have a phone for 3/4 weeks, I survived. It was nice not having technology all the time, really enjoying the scenery, and the people around me. I hope everyone had a great summer (even though it's almost December haha). Hopefully my next post won't take almost 7 months!
