At the beginning of this year, I posted my goals for 2017. Honestly I forgot about them. Oops! Anyways lets see how I did!
1. Work out at least once a week I didn't complete this. As much as I want to work out, Netflix or sleep always wins. 2. Make an effort to meet new people I would say that I completed this. I went to Orlando and Russia not know anyone. Then I moved into my apartment at GCSU not knowing my roommates. I met some many people and got out of my comfort zone. 4. Get out of my comfort zone YES! This whole year was full of firsts, not knowing people, and leading people. I think I got out of my comfort zone more than once haha. 5. Go someplace new at least once a month I would say that I did this for most of the year. While I was working at Disney, I did something new almost every week. Then, my study abroad and trip around Europe everything was new. However, when I came back to Milledgeville, I didn't do anything new. So I would say a good half of the year I did something new at least once a month. 6. Don't be afraid to try new things I would say that I did try new things, but I was definitely nervous to do so. I will say that I am becoming less nervous each time. 7. Learn to date Lol, nope! I haven't gone on a single date this year. Maybe 2018 will be the year I finally start to date. 8. Do as many things with Disney as I possibly can! Volunteer, go on every ride, pick up extra shifts, and many other things YES, YES, YES! I did so many great things at Disney! Yes, I could have done more, but I think I accomplished enough. 9. Learn as much Russian as possible For the most part, I learned a lot of Russian for not taking a Russian language course. Plus Russian is hard! 10. Try as many new foods in Russia I did try a lot of Russian food. I ate Russian food everyday, but some days I had McDonalds or Burger King. I wish I didn't but the language barrier in Russia was harder than I thought and I never knew what I ordered. 11. Explore milledgeville for the last time. Do things that I forgot to do the other semesters and revisit the places that I loved Sadly, I didn't do this. Most weekends, I was away working, visiting friends, or just visiting home. 12. Spend more time with friends and family Yes! 13. Read more books and listen to audiobooks I have been trying to read more books and I download a lot of them. However, finding time to read has been hard. I have also downloaded language audiobooks to learn more Spanish and Russian. 14. Read what is going on with the world everyday I don't read or watch the news everyday, but I know when big things happen. I need to re-download my news apps! 15. Be better at cleaning up Sadly I haven't. My mom keeps telling me when I get my job in housekeeping, I'll learn. I hope so! 16. Save money and invest For the most part! I have been doing a lot of fun things this year, which costs a lot of money. So I'm hoping that starting in January 2018 I will start to save more with my full time job. 17. Volunteer more Sadly no. I love volunteering but I feel like I don't have the time. I'm cleaning out my parents house before I move and will be donating all of my old items... Do that count? 18. Learn to be happy by myself and doing things alone I prefer doing things with people, but now that I have a dog, Stella, I don't mind going out and doing things with her. I'm slowly working on it! 19. Get a dog and successfully train it Yes! Still working on the training though. Her name is Stella and she's a catahoula leopard with blue eyes! 20. Finish school at GCSU and get a full time job starting in December/January YES! I walked December 16 and started full time at the St. Regis Atlanta December 18th. I will be transferring to Orlando in June! Yay to real adult life! Overall I feel like I did a pretty good job, even though I forgot about it. Lets see what 2018 brings!
